GUEST LECTURE was arranged at Aga Khan University by Pakistan Biological Safety Association (PBSA) for Dr Terence Taylor while he was visiting Karachi Pakistan on Monday August 04 2008. Dr Taylor is President of International Council for Life Sciences and Vice President Global Health and Security based in Washington DC, U.S.A. Dr Taylor spoke on “Countering Biological Risks: Building Networks and Consortia” Dr Taylor has vast experience in this field. It was attended by a large audience. After the lecture the management committee of PBSA met Dr.Taylor and briefed Dr Taylor about mission and objectives of PBSA. Dr Taylor was very impressed with the mission and has kindly agreed to be on the advisory panel of PBSA.

Dr Aamer Ikram (Founder Member PBSA) has been selected by BWC Experts

Dr Aamer Ikram (Founder Member PBSA) has been selected by BWC Experts, United Nations, Geneva, to write a chapter on 'Biosafety & Biosecurity - concepts and approaches' in a book in process at the UN. His selection is indeed an honour for PBSA as well as the nation. He has also been selected by University of Iowa for one year course in 'Emerging Infectious Diseases'."

Ms Shahida  to participate in the First Annual Conference of Biosafety Association for Central Asia

Ms Shahida Mumtaz Qureshi (Treasurer PBSA)has been invited to participate in the First Annual Conference of Biosafety Association for Central Asia and Caucasus (BACAC): Bacterial and Viral Zoonoses" which will take place on May, 18-20, 2009 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to represent Pakistan.
